Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is designed for those learners either currently working in any environment, or those returning/starting work and wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification in health and safety.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake 4 hours of learning.

Topics covered

These include:

  • the importance of health and safety in the workplace (OH&S legislation)
  1. includes manual handling TILE or TILEO
  2. musculoskeletal disorders (MSDS)
  • the scope of hazards and risks in the workplace
  • the range of workplace conditions that can affect health and safety
  • the requirements for workplace procedure (e.g. fire risk assessments, workplace audits, DSE risk assessments, health and safety training)

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.
